Set of six plates
Bajo la superficie is a work composed of six plates that function as a narrative whole. Made in ceramic with low-temperature glazes, the pieces share a deep black base—reminiscent of submerged seascapes—over which pictorial compositions unfold in deep blues, mineral greens, and translucent turquoise washes, creating subtle plays of light, contrast, and depth.
Each plate is unique, yet the set is conceived as a complete work, where the pieces converse with one another, forming a fragmented vision. Inspired by posidonia meadows and the reflections of water, the collection moves between the functional and the artistic. Designed both for use and to be experienced as an artwork.
